A really cool player's grade AVRI from the mid 80's. The body dates to '85 & is finished in an ultra cool Surf Green. The neck dates to '87 & features a beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard, similar to the Brazilian rosewood found on early '60s Fenders. Together they make the perfect match & thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music, the guitar is ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Lots of good, honest play wear just the way we like them - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches & some finish wear. A small section on the back of the headstock was scooped out or carved away a bit, but it's not too bad & doesn't affect playability. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a cool vibe & beautiful patina.
Neck: Maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Vintage-style tuners work great. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck pencil date reads 3-25-87.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body finished in Seafoam Green. There's an extra screw hole in the treble-side horn from a previous strap button. Vintage-style tremolo bridge with bent saddles & original trem arm included. 3-ply white pickguard; missing trem cover. The date in the neck pocket is stamped NOV 9 1985 & the guitar weighs 7 lbs 14.2 oz.
Electronics: Three Strat single coils with staggered poles & 3-way toggle switch. Master volume & dual tone controls. One pot dates to '87, one dates to '95 & the other cannot be read due to the solder point. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original tweed hardshell case included. The two outside clasps are broken & there are some drawings on the outside of the case.
