Wow, where to even start with this one.. This started as a dream build I conjured up after becoming enchanted by a one-off 1966 Duo Sonic/Mustang painted in a sparkly green color with block inlays, binding and a matching headstock that I had seen online. I had a Bullet Mustang and a block inlay jaguar neck lying around, and knew that my friend Jeff over at Lomic Guitars could make me a pickguard with pretty much any configuration I wanted, so I went with a Bronco style guard routed for Jaguar pickups of course! The idea slowly morphed from replicating the 66 Duo Sonic to making my own "Bronc-uar" (Bronc-Jag? Jag-Bronc?? Jag-o???) Whatever you wanna call it, you can't deny that its drop dead gorgeous, and it sounds and plays every bit as good as it looks. The Cadillac Green paint is the cherry on top of this elegant tuxedo terror, with just an ever so slight aging/relic job so you don't feel like you have to be careful with this steed. This Bronco (or Bronc-uar) is ready to come to a stable near you!
SPECS/UPGRADES:
- Stunning Cadillac Green Metallic refin in aged gloss polyurethane (automotive grade finish)
- Classic Vibe Jaguar neck w/ block inlays & binding.
- Fretboard edges lightly rolled, eliminating any sharp/blunt fret ends for maximum hand comfort. Frets leveled and polished buttery smooth.
- "Bubba Modded" bridge with brass compensated tele saddles for improved downward string pressure
- Fender Road Worn Tuning Keys. All other metal parts hand aged to match vintage patina of tuners
- Fender-designed Classic Vibe Jaguar pickups - Alnico V magnets. Lovely single coil Fender chime.
- All internal cavities shielded with conductive copper tape to ensure your tone is as clean and buzz-free as possible
- Fender Deluxe "witch hat" knobs
- Bronco conversion pickguard by Lomic Guitars in aged white
- Neck finish has been lightly sanded with ultra fine sandpaper and rubbed out by hand give it that buttery smooth, played in feel with a slightly glossy appearance -- no sticky gloss here!
-"Feelgood Bronco" decal in gold/black installed under clear coat on headstock
- Fender 60's style "F" neck plate
- Fresh setup with Daddario 10-46 strings. Intonated in std. with low comfy action
*note this is a relic finish and thus has intentional imperfections to add to the "vibe," but I always try to keep it tasteful and "honest" looking. All aging is purely cosmetic and does not affect the structural integrity of the instrument or its moving parts*
