Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1956 Gretsch model 6129 Silver Jet in its original finish. It has a great playing neck with good frets. It's all original and 100% complete with the only exception being one screw for the control cavity cover. It still has its original tweed hardshell case (which is in great shape) along with the original HANG TAG and other paperwork. When the serial number was etched into the back of the control cavity cover, there must have been a slip of the hand making the first digit "1" to resemble a "6" causing some confusion when the paperwork was filled out. This Silver Jet is in great shape and looks incredible. There is an extremely minor amount of seam separation on the back of the heal, a very small crack on the treble side of the neck joint running parallel with the binding, some nick + dings, some play wear through the finish on the back of the neck, a couple of cracks in the pickup spacer for bridge position pickup, and other cosmetic wear including some light belt buckle wear and a the slight amount of binding separation between the upper and lower bout on the bass side of the body. All of these issues are more of a cosmetic concern as the guitar itself remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. The neck position pickup sounds weak and trebly as it may need to be rewound. All solder joints remain original and untampered with, so we'll leave the decision to rewind the pickup to the next owner. All other electronics work and sound great.
