Add Me to Your Favorite SellersOlivia's Vintage would like to present this 1968 Fender Telecaster with an aftermarket body. The neck is an original '68 with a maple cap that plays great with good frets as it has been re-fretted along with a changed nut. We do not know who manufactured the body, but most of the parts are original to a '68 Telecaster. It's as if someone bought a Telecaster then later decided they preferred the Custom Telecaster, bought a body to resemble that model, then took parts from the original body and put this guitar together. Some parts are not original including the pots (which are still 1968 250K pots), bridge saddles, one of the caps and some of the screws. The pickups appear to be original along with the bridge plate, neck plate and the pickguard. The original hardshell case is included. The neck has had some overspray on the fretboard and the back of the neck has finish worn off from play wear giving it a nice smooth feel. There are nicks + dings and a lot of other cosmetic wear. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great. The weight is 7 lbs. 6.8 oz.
